Influence at the Table

The Interactive Dinner is the flagship gathering of the 1st XI. In every state and the FCT, 11 respected leaders are invited to a private evening with national policymakers. It is an intimate space for dialogue, influence, and alliance-building where conversations at the table help shape the direction of the nation.

Purpose and Design

The Interactive Dinner was created to make influence intimate and actionable. By limiting attendance to a select group of leaders, each dinner fosters the kind of meaningful, strategic conversation that cannot happen in public forums or large conferences.

Its purpose:

  • Build direct relationships between business leaders and policymakers.

  • Exchange ideas that shape policy and investment priorities.

  • Forge alliances that lead to actionable outcomes.

  • Create a trusted space for candid, solution-focused dialogue.

The Experience

Every detail of the dinner is designed to reflect the prestige of the circle. Invitations are hand-delivered, the venues are discreet and refined, and the guest list is meticulously curated. The setting is intimate, the atmosphere deliberate — creating the ideal environment for thoughtful exchange.

A typical evening includes:

  • A keynote conversation with a senior policymaker or national leader.

  • Moderated discussions focused on key national issues.

  • Opportunities for direct engagement between participants and decision-makers.

  • Presentation of the 1st XI Journal and signature keepsakes.

Representation and Reach

The dinner series is hosted across the country, with 11 leaders from each state in each region — a total of 407 voices continent-wide — taking part. Participants represent sectors critical to the country’s growth, including technology, real estate, finance, agriculture, mining, energy, manufacturing, and entertainment. Together, they form a coalition that mirrors the nation’s economic strength and strategic diversity.

The Interactive Dinner is not about ceremony — it’s about outcomes. The ideas exchanged and the relationships forged in this setting often translate into policy recommendations, investment initiatives, partnerships, and collaborative projects that shape Africa's trajectory long after the plates are cleared.
